Employment Opportunities

First Baptist Church of Smithfield has an active and growing Student Ministry. We are looking for a vibrant Student Pastor with strong communication skills, a biblical focus on disciple-making, and equipping students for a lifetime of Christian service. The candidate will be the primary leader of the Student Ministry and their heart should be to evangelize, disciple, equip, empower, and promote the worship and exaltation of Jesus Christ through their adult and student led teams. Our Church is seeking God’s man to serve as a pastor with a heart for student ministry. The Student Pastor will be a member of the executive staff of the church.
The Student Ministry at First Baptist Church of Smithfield is about creating a safe, fun, engaging, and edifying place for students to worship God and study the Bible. Our church wants to develop Christian leaders and future church leaders who are biblically-discipled to think critically through life’s issues and apply the scriptures to their lives. We want to connect students to God and to each other. Our church family is best described as distinctively Southern Baptist, very relational, authentic, multi-generational and diverse.
First Baptist Church of Smithfield serves a student base within a top state ranked—Birdville Independent School District: a district with seven (7) middle schools and six (6) high schools, many school campuses are within minutes of our church. First Baptist Church of Smithfield expects our Student Pastor to engage students regularly on their school campuses and establish a presence at major student and community events.
God’s man will craft and develop original theologically strong teaching content that equips, builds, and guides adult/student leaders to a mature Christian growth.
