Prayer requests

A Special Daily Prayer  Moment

Here's how you can join us in prayer each day:

Step One: Set A Daily Reminder To Pray (10:02 AM)

Step Two: Stop and Meditate on Luke 10:2

Step Three: In daily prayer, ask God to call out the called Men, Women, Boys, and Girls. This is a "call to action," a call to become Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Missionaries, Church Planters, and Fellow Servants to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask God to Raise Up Soul-Winners. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

Step Four: Pray for our pastor, personnel committee, and congregation who are seeking God's will as the church searches for God's choice of Student and Worship Pastors here at First Baptist Church of Smithfield.

Thank you.

Prayer Request Form

We would be honored to pray for you or someone you know. Our team prays for all the prayer requests we receive on a regular basis.

"O You who hear prayer, To You all men come." - Psalm 65:2

Develop Your Spiritual Disciplines.

Quiet Time
Set aside a brief time each day to read God’s Word, meditate on the text, and talk with God. You might want to journal some of your thoughts as God reveals Himself to you during this time.

Personal Holiness

As a follower of Christ, God transforms you to live for Him so that your life consistently reflects what you believe. Born again believers live born again lives.
Prayer
Spend time each day to God just like you would a friend. He desires to hear your cares and concerns. He delights in your thankful attitude.

Scripture Memory

God’s Word teaches you how to live for Him. The more we know His Word, the more we know His will. The Psalmist put it this way in the Bible: “Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” – Psalm 119:11 (NASB)
Church Attendance
Stewardship
Prioritize regular attendance and participation in life groups,  worship services, and discipleship classes.

The essence of life is not ownership, but stewardship. Everything you have comes from God. When God’s people faithfully manage their time, talents, and treasures God strengthens His church to better serve the world.

Christian Service

Evangelism

Christ has called us to serve one another. Christian service is encouraged throughout the Scriptures. You are uniquely gifted by the Lord to serve Him and the Church.  The Apostle Paul said this in Ephesians: "And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ..." – Ephesians 4:11-12 (NASB)
Become a Great Commission Christian. Receive personal evangelism and disciple-making training and develop habits of sharing your faith with others. Then disciple the new convert to maturity in Christ.
